As ever, there are so many wonderful things to celebrate and report upon from the last twelve months. September marked my tenth anniversary as Headmistress at Eaton House Belgravia. The fabulous Miss Annabel organised a surprise staff party for me and it was so touching that all staff, bar those living abroad, that have been employed at Eaton House Belgravia in the last 10 years, were there.

Returning to Eaton House The Vale after a sixteen-year gap has been very much like coming home. I am delighted to be back – and the ‘specialness’ of the school remains very much the same. The support from the Eaton House The Vale community has been superb and the family feel is strong; the pupils are delightful and I couldn’t ask for a better body of parents. It is a bit like Hogwarts, really – full of magic!

It’s hard to believe that I am in my second year as Headmistress of Eaton House The Manor Pre-Prep. When I think back to the very little ones starting school last September, they have indeed achieved so much in the past ten months. We expect a lot of our boys and they rise to the challenge.

As I write we are nearing the end of the first year of Eaton House The Manor Girls’ School. It has been a busy and very successful year and the girls have all achieved so much – academically and socially. It has given me much pleasure watching them develop – I wonder what the KGs will be like when they are in Year 6!

The nursery children and teachers have thoroughly enjoyed an exceptionally busy year. We looked at new topics including Festivals, Pirates, Transport and Holidays. We had a variety of trips out including Horton Park Farm, The London Transport Museum, Godstone Farm and The Polka Theatre. Everyone loves going on the big coach and is often talked about as the best part of the trip!
