The former is one of the most hotly contested senior scholarships in the UK, and the latter has reputedly attracted over 60 gifted musicians from Prep schools all over the country vying for the honour.<\/p>\n<p>Academically, his performance was also excellent. ChengTong\u2019s letter from Eton commented that he had \u2018performed exceptionally well in the King\u2019s Scholarship examination\u2019 and that, as a result, his name would appear on the roll. They added that \u2018The level of competition has been very high this year, so ChengTong should be very proud of his achievement.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In Music, he has achieved Grade 8 in two instruments, the piano and the clarinet. His Eton Scholarship pieces included Schubert\u2019s Impromptu No. 3 for the piano, Beethoven\u2019s Sonata No.8, again for the piano, and Weber Clarinet Concerto No. 1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u2018The interview was about musical theory, my musical instruments and the things that have inspired me,\u2019 he says. \u2018And yes, I do listen to 21<sup>st<\/sup> century music, not just classical!\u2019 he laughs. He is grateful to the Eaton House The Manor Director of Music, Mr Lukas Kargl, whose specialist knowledge and dedication helped him to achieve his full potential. \u2018Mr Karg is an inspiring teacher,\u2019 he said. \u2018He helped me to prepare and he also wrote me a very nice reference.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>ChengTong loves the fact that there is so much musical opportunity at Eaton House \u2013 and he sings in the Senior Choir and plays in the Orchestra. \u2018Overall, it has been really enjoyable at Eaton House The Manor,\u2019 he says. I\u2019ve been here since Reception and there have been so many funny moments.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The school is \u2018like a home\u2019, yet it is right to leave. \u2018I am ready for Eton,\u2019 he says. \u2018I am in good standing and well prepared and I am really happy about that.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eaton House The Manor 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With an exceptional over 40 top scholarships and awards for Eaton House The Manor, this has been a great year for Eaton House The Manor. EHTM Prep School has achieved 21 scholarships and exhibitions and EHTM Girls\u2019 School has achieved 19 scholarships in Academics, Sports, Drama, Art, Music and All-Rounder categories.
