Welcome to Eaton House Belgravia
Since 1897, Eaton House Belgravia has been known as an outstanding Pre-Prep school for boys aged 2-8, with an unsurpassed heritage.
Eaton House Belgravia is an academic superhighway, giving the boys the skills and support they need to navigate the challenging 7+ and 8+ exams. It encompasses traditional academic excellence with a dynamic, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. Confidence, teamwork and an ability to form and hold your own opinions – these are key parts of an Eaton House Belgravia education.
We have many famous alumni, including a former British Prime Minister, two Academy Award winners, a famous children’s author and a TV celebrity. We are a place for aspiration and we believe that every single boy can shine with the right encouragement.
Our Outstanding 7+ and 8+ 2026 Results
The school is proud to announce that in 2026 its boys were offered some 25 coveted places in the 7+ and 8+ exams to Westminster Under, St Paul’s Boys’ School and King’s College, Wimbledon, together with places at a range of other top schools.
These included Dulwich College, City of London, Ludgrove, Eaton House The Manor and Sussex House. A full list of results can be seen on the website, together with a list of our top schools over 10 years at: https://www.eatonhouseschools.com/belgravia/pre-prep-exam-results/ (live link on web)
‘Our passionate and dedicated teaching staff are owed as much credit as the boys themselves, as it takes infinite time, care and patience to motivate and challenge each individual boy to maximise his talents when exam time comes around,’ says Eaton House Schools’ Principal, Mrs Alison Fleming.
‘I have always believed the boys’ success is inextricably linked to an inner confidence that is built up over years, incrementally, and with due care,’ she said. ‘The happy environment that we provide for our boys ensures that they build on their successes step by step. They love school and they love to learn. The rest inevitably follows.’
Our Distinguished Head (from September 2026)
Dr Christopher Halls, currently Head of Early Years at Dulwich Prep, joins Eaton House Belgravia in September, 2026.
For the past 12 years, Christopher has been at Dulwich Prep and Senior, one of the most successful Prep schools in the country. He has held a number of leadership roles including Head of Year and Assistant Head of Middle School where he helped parents to navigate their way through the 11+ and the ISEB pre-test process.
His current role is the Head of Early Years, a thriving area of the school operating on its own site with just under 150 children and 40 members of staff. Amongst the various initiatives that he has been responsible for, is leading on the development of the ‘Two-Year-Old’ room, a new phonics scheme, and whole school assessment.
His academic background fits him perfectly for such a dynamic Pre-Prep school. Dr Halls was a pupil at the London Oratory School, before going on to the University of Warwick to read German with International Studies. He then completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the Institute of Education at the University of Warwick, after which he completed a Masters degree at Oxford University in Teaching and Learning. Finally, he completed his doctorate at Cambridge University, where his dissertation focused on literacy development and phonics.
In his personal life, Christopher’s wife is also a teacher and they have a two-year-old son. In his spare time, Christopher plays the cello and enjoys singing in choirs. He loves sports, especially water polo and swimming.
‘From the moment I met Christopher, I knew he was exactly the right person to lead Eaton House Belgravia at this point in its history,’ says Mrs Fleming. ‘He is bright and is passionate about outstanding teaching that is led by research, and his experiences at Dulwich Prep will be so valuable for us at Eaton House Belgravia.’
‘I am confident that the appointment of Dr Halls as the new Head of Eaton House Belgravia represents an exciting and defining moment in the school’s life.’
