Safeguarding & Pupil Welfare

Eaton House Schools is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of all pupils and expects all staff, whatever their role, to share this commitment.

Eaton House Schools has policies and procedures in place to deal effectively with child protection and safeguarding issues, which include tackling radicalisation and extremism, together with processes for recording and monitoring.

To promote a safe environment for pupils, Eaton House Schools employs a strict selection and recruitment policy which includes all statutory checks on staff and regular volunteers including Enhanced DBS (disclosure and barring service) checks.

All staff are trained to a level appropriate to their safeguarding responsibilities ranging from basic awareness through to level 2 and advanced.  The Principal and governors are trained in safeguarding and child protection. The training is monitored and comprehensive records kept by the DSL (designated safeguarding lead).

Reporting Incidents and Concerns

Please report any safeguarding or child protection incident or concern to the relevant Designated Safeguarding Lead, listed below.

If the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the relevant school is not available, please ensure you report your concern to the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. If both DSLs are not available for the relevant school, the child protection concern can be reported to one of the other Designated Safeguarding Leads within the Eaton House School group.

Designated Safeguarding Leads can be contacted by phone during school hours.

Outside school hours please email the Designated Safeguarding Lead, however, if someone is at serious risk please contact the police.
