Girls’ Exam Results

As I end my tenure as Headmaster of Eaton House The Manor Girls’ School, I consider myself lucky to be in the company of such an impressive cohort of leavers. The hard work and resilience of the girls, even through the challenges presented to them in the last few years by COVID-19, has been rewarded by an excellent set of 11+ results.

Possibly the most striking statistic of all is that, from a cohort of 30, the girls have received a total of 30 scholarships and awards. This is by far the highest number of scholarships we have ever received in a single year, and it reflects not only the girls’ academic excellence, but also their hugely impressive talents in Art, Drama, Music and Sport. I know I speak on behalf of the entire staff team when I say what a pleasure it is to have seen each girl grow into her potential and find her passion.

Great results are a natural part of Eaton House Schools’ caring learning ethos; wellbeing is at the forefront of all we do. We want each girl to feel that she is known, nurtured and challenged, and that she has a genuine love of learning and a deep-rooted respect for people and places by the time that she leaves school.

As I too leave Eaton House The Manor Girls’ School for pastures new, I am delighted to have handed over my responsibilities to a very qualified successor. Mrs Claire Fildes is equally committed to the success and happiness of the girls, and having previously spent five years as Deputy Head of Bute House School, I have no doubt that she has the experience and skill to uphold Eaton House The Manor Girls’ outstanding track record.
