Admissions Process

As we are non-selective at entry into Nursery and Reception, and one of the top prep schools in London. Interest is keen and therefore early application is advised.

We accept registration from birth and the majority of our pupils join in Reception (4+ years).

We also cater to various entry points including 7+ and 8+. Entry to other year groups may be possible depending on places becoming available during the academic year, due to families relocating. Where your child is registered to join the school after the initial Reception entry point, your child will be invited to visit the school for an admissions assessment before a place can be confirmed.

Sibling policy

Eaton House Schools does operate a sibling policy but, due to space restriction, no guarantee is made to offer every sibling a definite place.

We are committed to equal treatment for all, regardless of a candidate’s race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or social background.

NURSERY

On registration, your child will be added to our waiting list until 15 months prior to entry when places are offered in registration date order (hence early registration is recommended).  Once offered, places are secured by payment of a deposit and completion of a parental acceptance form.

4+

Once registered, we will offer to hold a place for your child as we are non-selective for 4+ entry.  We will then request a payment of a deposit and completion of a parental acceptance form to secure the place 12 months before entry date.  Parents are invited to visit for a small group tour with the Head teacher around 18 months before entry date.  Following acceptance of a place, we will invite your child to our new children’s event in the term before he or she starts with us in the autumn.

8+

On registering, your son will be added to our waiting list for 8+ assessment.  He will be invited to attend an assessment morning in the January of the year in which he would start.  Places will be confirmed in February after the assessment.

OCCASIONAL PLACES

All other entry points are treated as Occasional Places and these are subject to availability and assessment.  It is recommended that parents contact the Admissions team to check availability before registering. On registering, your child will be added to our waiting list and invited for an assessment, usually in the January or February of the year in which they would start.  Children registering after this point in the year will be assessed  on a case by case basis.
