Eaton House The Manor Boys’ School: An Outstanding Independent Private School for Boys

Eaton House The Manor Boys’ School is a ‘nurturing powerhouse of academic excellence’ (Nappy Valley, 2025), whose pupils were awarded the two top scholarships in the UK in 2025 – the King’s Scholarship at Westminster and the John Colet at St Paul’s Boys.

Yet success goes beyond results. Boys leave for the top schools in the country, many with scholarships, but also equipped with self-belief, emotional intelligence and strong friendships.

They are warmly welcomed at age 2 by Mrs Kirsten Bond, the Headmistress of the Pre-Prep and progress to the Prep at age 8, under the distinguished Headmaster Mr David Wingfield.

Why Choose Eaton House The Manor?

  • Boys join Reception at 4+ from the co-educational Nursery and other nurseries. There they find a warm, welcoming school where all the learning is aimed at boys – active and fun
  • The youngest boys are ambitiously educated in the Pre-Prep, building a strong foundation for the Prep
  • From the Prep School, we have sent generations of boys to Westminster, Eton, St Paul’s and Dulwich College, among other top schools. In 2025, boys won a number of scholarships and awards – see the Results section of the website for details
  • Our philosophy is that every boy is an individual, and is encouraged to meet his personal goals
  • Our site, based around a grand Georgian manor house, has every facility needed for boys to excel, with music, science and art labs and a state-of the-art theatre
  • The younger boys try many sports, from tag rugby to running. The older boys often reach national finals and win tournaments
  • Theatre and Music are enjoyed to a very high standard, and the youngest boys often choose to play an instrument
  • Wraparound care is offered from 8am to 6.30pm from Reception with a home-from-home feel, as well as the plethora of after-school clubs on offer
  • Pastoral care is the cornerstone of school life at EHTM with a dedicated Head of Wellbeing, form tutors and supportive House system

Transition to Boys’ Pre-prep: Do Most Children Go to the KG?

Yes, seeing families arrive in the nursery and go right through the school creates a wonderful atmosphere. We get to know the children often before they start and we can watch them progress through the school. Parents and KG teachers always comment on how smooth the transition is for the children who come to our nursery. The positives of being on one site are hugely beneficial.

Can we apply for both EHB and EHTM?

Yes. We will request parent’s preference before offers are made. If there is availability spaces can usually be transferred between schools but this is at the discretion of the Headteachers.

When are formal offers made?

Formal offers are made around 12 months before entry to Eaton House The Manor.
