Prep Parents’ Quiz Night

In the wake of the 2023 Kahramanmaras earthquake, Eaton House The Manor have been working hard to raise as much money as possible for the emergency relief effort.

Our latest event in aid of the Turkey Moziak Foundation was a fantastic Prep Parents’ Quiz Night. With the theatre our chosen venue, the stage was set for a wonderful evening, with many of our parents and staff fighting it out for top spot. Our Quizmaster for the night, Mr Paul Russell, tested each team with a wide range of categories and questions. The knowledge of our guests was increasingly stretched as the night progressed, and as more wine was consumed!

In a surprise twist at the end of the evening, the staff team were victorious. Many congratulations to our winning parents team, the ‘Positive Housepoints Team’, and all others who took part.

Eaton House The Manor was honoured to host such an enjoyable evening while raising money for a very worthy cause. The total raised by the Prep Parents’ Quiz Night was an impressive £1479.82, which will be split between the Turkey Moziak Foundation and the Eaton House Foundation. Our thanks to the parents and staff who donated in order to take part – particularly those who made the most of the ‘pay for an answer’ option!

In addition to the money raised by the quiz night, Eaton House has raised a total of £5382.36 in aid of the Turkey Mozaik Foundation’s Kahramanmaras Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund. On the previous Friday, each of our schools held a Home Clothes Day, asking for a small donation in return for our pupils fashion freedom!

We are delighted that the Dukes Foundation has offered to match all of the money we have raised, to total a sizeable donation to those in need in Turkey and Syria.
