‘This is a Dream School’
Alice has won an Academic Scholarship to JAGS, which she found quite challenging as there was an English and Maths element and also a science element. There were group tasks too and one required Alice to be ingenuous as she helped to create an island, complete with coves and another island she could trade with.
English is her favourite subject because she finds creative writing ‘very free.’ For the same reason, she thinks that she likes algebra, due to the combinations of letters and symbols. Historical fiction is another favourite, and she is currently devouring a book about one family’s journey through the Blitz.
She had some amazing options but she opted for Jags after appreciating ‘the beautiful building, the amazing facilities and the swimming pool.’ She enjoys lots of sports and loves the fact that there are many sports facilities really close.’ She also felt that it was the ‘perfect place to be challenged’ and liked the fact that there was a uniform ‘as I don’t want to think too hard about what I’m wearing every day!’ Model UN is one club that she is hoping to get involved in ‘because I
She also likes the idea of carrying on at an all-girls’ school after her Eaton House The Manor experience. ‘This school has been so great that I don’t want to go co-ed for the next part of my education,’ she says. ‘At Eaton House The Manor everyone has been so kind and supportive. The teachers pushed us to do our best and encouraged us to try and do everything. She has just this week started Lacrosse, as a Pre-JAGS taster.
At Eaton House The Manor Girls, ‘We have a lovely art room and the Common opposite. It’s been magical since KG. It really is the dream school!’ she says.
To anybody thinking of coming to Eaton House The Manor Girls, she advises: ‘Just come here if you want to come to an all- girls’ school. You will really enjoy it!’
